As previously reported, After School leader Kahi will be graduating from the group and will debut back into the music scene as a solo artist.

According to Pledis Entertainment, “Kahi will perform with After School and help promote until September, then begin working on her solo activities. The new student Ga Eun will take the place as the fifth new recruitment member in the place of Kahi.”

“The group will release a new single on June 21 and Kahi did not take part in it at all,” the agency added.

Despite the fact that she will no longer be a part of the girl group, Kahi will stay with the entertainment agency.

Big Bang member T.O.P and actor Cho Sung Ha have confirmed their casting for the upcoming movie, ‘Alumni’.

On June 7, a representative of the film stated, “T.O.P and Cho Sung Ha’s appearance in this movie have been confirmed, and contracts were signed a few days earlier.”

This movie is set to be filmed for 3 months starting sometime in July. A session of script reading has been done and the two stars will play as spies in the movie.

‘Alumni’ is about the son (T.O.P) of a South secret agent who died under false charges. In order to save his remaining younger sister, he accepts an offer to become a spy himself and kill other spy agents from the South.

Directed by Park Shin Woo with Showbox as the distributor, this movie will cost 4 billion won to produce and will be released at the later half of this year.

To mark North Korea’s shelling of Yeonpyeong Island on Nov. 23, 2010, singer Kim Jang Hoon gave a free concert on the island Tuesday night.

The concert, titled “Yeonpyeong Arirang,” was held on a truck that was converted to a stage. Kim entertained more than 500 residents with all of his hit songs at the island’s main sports complex.

Kim also performed on the island last year.

“It’s my second consecutive year to give a concert here, and I was worried that you’d all be sick of me. Tonight I want to be like a brother and a friend to you all,” said Kim, who funded the concert and treated about 900 residents to a barbecue and makgeolli (rice beer).

Kim said he wanted to buy presents for residents but could not afford it. Late last month, it was revealed Kim had run out of money due to partaking in too many charitable causes. He said he’ll start performing at nightclubs and other adult venues in order to raise funds to continue his activism.

Kim’s agency said on May 25 that the singer’s debt amounts to some 700 million won ($ 593,600).

Ahead of their comeback, B2ST will be participating in the OST for KBS latest drama ‘Big’.

B2ST will release their OST track titled “Hated Person” on the midnight of June 11th. “Hated Person” was produced by Sweetune, the composers behind KARA’s “Mister”, “Step” and INFINITE’s “Be Mine”. The song is described to be a refreshing combination of synth and guitar sounds perfectly fit for the bright atmosphere of ‘Big’.
