Recently, girl group 2NE1 released a new album in Japan. They also held a small fan event in conjuction with this.

On the 3rd (of May 2012), Japan’s leading news outlet, Sankei Shimbun reported that 2NE1 has held an event on the 2nd, at Live House, Shibuya, Tokyo, for the buyers of the Collection album.

This event was of a smaller scale as only 400 people were admitted and it is 2NE1’s 2nd time to have such a small concert in Japan. Together with a cover of famous American singer Madonna’s “Like A Virgin”, 2NE1 performed 4 songs and were able to interact with their fans on a more intimate level.

With regards to this, leader CL said “I’m very happy to have spent time up close and personal with the fans and also felt their passion.”

2NE1 who’s scheduled to have a domestic comeback in the 1st half of the year is currently active in Japan.
